Center for Digital Agriculture, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign - Research Assistant - REU Fellowship (May 2025 - Present):
- Developing machine learning-driven hyperspectral imaging technology for early prediction of chick embryo sex and embryonic mortality, addressing animal welfare concerns affecting 300 million annually culled male layer chicks in the US.
- Optimizing computer vision algorithms and explainable AI models to enable rapid, non-invasive, high-throughput detection at early incubation stages before embryo sensitivity develops.
- Generating preliminary data and refining hyperspectral imaging systems for real-time egg sensing applications in the poultry industry.
Torchman IP LLC, Software Engineering Intern (Sept. 2024 - Apr. 2025):
- Enabled lawyers to rapidly automate processing office actions, track response deadlines, and generate legal response documents.
- Processes USPTO office actions, integrating OCR (tesseract) and Regex, the OpenAI API, and Selenium and BeautifulSoup to extract critical patent data to CSVs, generate patent summaries and response templates, and retrieve referenced PDFs from Google Patents.
The Nonprofit Alliance, Front-end Intern (June 2024):
- Revamped a non-profit's Fundraiser Symposium page, cleaning and modernizing the design, user interface, and performance.
- Wrote JavaScript and PHP in WordPress terminals to remove ~1,000 redundant pages and integrated custom plugins, HTML, and CSS.
- Increased event registrations by nearly 8% year-over-year, despite federal funding cuts causing nonprofits to reduce budgets.
Savvy Seniors Tech Institute Initiative, Founder (June 2023 - Present):
- Founded a local tech literacy business that makes personalized help available for 1,000s of seniors in Signal Mountain aged ~55+.
- Increased skills including navigating Windows, macOS, social media, mobile devices, productivity software, video calling family, etc.
- Hired by Ascension Living's Alexian Village retirement home to facilitate a weekly "office hours" for tech help, assisting ~300+ elders.

- Leveraged Expression Engine (EE) and Google Keyword Planner for an SEO audit adjusting keywords, meta tags, headers, and structure.

Political Science Survey Analysis Research (Jan. 2025 - May 2025):
- Contributed to interdisciplinary research project applying machine learning techniques to political science survey data analysis challenges, working with neural networks and statistical validation methods.
- Collaborated with research team on computational approaches to survey methodology and cross-dataset analysis.

Cave Climber (Apr. 2025 - May 2025):
- Developed a vertical platforming game featuring dynamic platform generation with varied types (moving, breaking, single-use).
- Implemented an adaptive difficulty system that scales enemy spawn rates and behaviors, including ground flying-based enemies.
- Created an extensive power-up system with multiple effects (potions, wings, etc.), each featuring unique visual/gameplay mechanics.
A Star Defense (Feb. 2025 - Mar. 2025):
- Implemented A* pathfinding for a Unity tower defense game with enemy movement paths that dynamically adapt to placed defenses.
- Engineered a turret system with multiple upgrade paths and specializations, enabling strategic gameplay through diverse options.
- Created a wave-based progression system featuring enemies with unique attributes and behaviors that increase in difficulty over time.
Free Throw vs. Fatigue (Sept 2024 - Present):
- Utilized Python to analyze the effect of fatigue on NBA free throw accuracy, isolating impact across 24 seasons and 30 teams.
- Engineered web scraping pipelines to track real-time player fatigue by parsing play-by-play data for free throws, substitutions, and in-game time implementing exponential backoff for API rate limit handling and error exception during large-scale data collection.
- Visualized players' free throw percentages in consecutive minutes against baseline career averages through matplotlib.
Lock In (May 2024 - Present):
- Employed JavaScript and TypeScript to build a stopwatch productivity app limits distractions and provides incentives to stay on task.
- Integrated with Firebase for cloud sync. Kotlin foreground services and Swift Screen Time APIs monitor and blacklist unwanted apps.
PredictaCare (April 2024 - June 2024):
- Trained and built a machine learning model on patient demographics and appointment types data. The use case is optimizing medical scheduling through appointment duration predictions, reducing the wait time to increase the medical institute's operational efficiency.
- Backed by SkLearn's linear regression, hosted via Docker with a JS server, HTML, and a Flask backend for the model and datasets.
- Showcased with two peers at Drexel's 11th annual Philly Codefest "Leveraging AI for the Common Good," amongst ~30+ other teams.
Swat Swap (Jan. 2024 - Present):
- Spearheaded the design and development of a Swarthmore-specific marketplace with Swarthmore College Computer Society (SCCS).
- Managed technical implementation with Next.js, TypeScript, and containerization, guiding developers in UI and server-side components, Prisma database schema and PostgreSQL, and MinIO storage for secure messaging, advanced search, and user profiles.
Hoop Hunter (Spring 2024): Designed a cross-platform app using Google Maps API and Dart (flutter) to provide basketball court information in the vicinity. Currently limited to NYC database with plans to expand functionality.

Lisa Johnson's Knitting Studio Website Redesign (Summer 2023): Further updated The Welcome Church associate Lisa Johnson's knitting studio website and social media presence.
The Welcome Church Website Revamp and Church Member Website Creation (Winter 2022): Updated Philadelphia's "The Welcome Church" website content and layout, implemented donation button w/ HTML. Created website from scratch for church associate Lisa Johnson's knitting studio.
ArleneSpeaksIt Business Website Revamp: Revamped website for career and business consultant and speaker Arlene Peterson using Wordpress, HTML, and CSS.
Revamped Nonprofit Fundraiser Symposium page: Produced pages for the Nonprofit Alliance's annual Nonprofit Fundraiser's Symposium utilizing WordPress, HTML, CSS, JS, and PHP.
Activities
Swarthmore International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) (Sept 2024 - Present):
- Solved complex algorithmic problems in high-pressure team environments, enhancing skills for regional and global competitions.
- Placed 5th at ICPC's 2024 NA South Division 2 competition at Wilkes University, solving algorithmic problems under strict time pressure.
Swarthmore College Computer Society (SCCS) (Feb 2024 - Present):
- Maintained servers and developed software collaborating with ~60 members to support the community. Was Swat Swap project lead.
Magic: The Gathering Club - Founder & President (Dec. 2023 - Present):
- Registered, built, and organized an MTG strategy card game club of ~30+ members who meet to play weekly.

- Founded and organized disc golf activities for Swarthmore students.
